PRAISE
O Lord, our Lord, how magnificent is Your name throughout the earth! I will sing to the Lord, for He is highly exalted; The Lord is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation. This is my God, and I will praise Him, my father’s God, and I will exalt Him. (Psalm 8:1, Exodus 15:1-2)
PROMPT
Noruz, or Persian New Year, literally means “new day”. This new day welcomes the spring season in a joyous time of celebration. Families and friends gather together in homes hoping that this new year will be better than the last one.
PRAYER
As people prepare to celebrate this new day (Noruz), may they ponder their old days—their struggles, disappointments, emptiness, and hopelessness—and seek new life in the Resurrection and the Life, Jesus Christ our Lord.
I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die. (John 11:25)
As Noruz welcomes the coming of spring, please pray that new life rooted in Christ would spring up, blossom, and bear much fruit in Persian countries worldwide.
Pray for Persian believers. Pray that they would be, rooted and grounded in love, will have power, together with all the saints, to comprehend the length and width and height and depth of the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do so much more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:17-21)
